From the Pastor - January 4, 2026

Merry Christmas to all! Sunday will mark the tenth day of

Christmas. We will need to find ten Lords a' leaping

somehow. (Any volunteers?) We will actually be doing

something that we have not done since 2017 - namely a

service of lessons and carols. This also gives us an

opportunity to hear all of the Christmas stories - from the

visit of the Magi, to the naming of Jesus in the Jerusalem

Temple, and ultimately to the blessings of both Simeon and

Anna. Since Christmas Season actually only lasts 12 days,

including Christmas Eve and possibly two Sundays, we

seldom hear some of the stories and so our celebrations are

actually incomplete.

I'm planning to be away this Sunday, attending a 50th

Anniversary Celebration for some close friends of mine back

in Indiana. I was at their wedding so I'm dealing with feeling

incredibly old now! I haven't changed at all so everybody

should recognize me. I'll let you know next week.

Blessings to all.
